It’s so expensive for one night
Reasonably priced, quiet, and clean. Indoor and outdoor room access with magnetic cards. Plenty of hot water. Room was more spacious than I expected for the price. Other reviews mentioned spiders and flies but I saw nothing of the sort in any of the rooms I'd been in. By far one of the cleanest and best-looking rooms I've stayed in across western Wisconsin.

Can’t believe there’s no phone in the building
Drain flys, odd order, couldn't adjust the AC.
However, a common problem most motels suffer from is poorly-sealing exterior doors allowing too much noise in, and in Ladysmith there is no shortage of trains making noise. The trains are quiet at night but if you're working a night shift you won't want to be anywhere near Ladysmith.
In the end she refunded use the money after she called the cops. Karma! Awefull experience, have never been treated like that by customer service in my life! Wouldn't recommend for anyone.

The lady in the office let me use her personal phone
Booked the motel thru Expedia. Wasn't given specific check-in instructions for what to do if I arrived after midnight. We arrive after 130 in the morning and all of the lights were off. The open sign, off. Vacancy sign, off. There was no sign letting us know what to do. So naturally we tried opening the door which happened to be unlocked and there were bells hanging on the back side of the door. So we jingled those a few times and waited 10-15 minutes while trying to contact them. STILL NOTHING. We ended up getting a room down the road at the Americann which was grea.. I was still charged the next morning for the stay even though I never showed up. I called the women who I suppose is the manager and she cut me off on the phone telling me there is no expections, she will not be refunding me. We went to the motel to talk in person about maybe refunding us.. we ended up being kicked out of the office and the cops were called on us.
There are cigarette burns in the carpet, drain flies in the showers, and the entire hotel smells of stale smoke and cat urine. The smell sticks to your clothes and the beds are rather uncomfortable. If you can afford it, you would be better off in any other hotel for fifty miles.
